I recently stayed at Oakwood Mission Valley and found it to be a decent option for a long-term stay. The price was quite fair, especially for what they offer. While the staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities were somewhat basic and not what I would call luxurious. The apartment we had was functional, but there were several issues that detracted from the experience overall.

Rooms
7.0
Our apartment was somewhat dated but clean and comfortable. It had a nice layout with two spacious bedrooms and a kitchen that met our needs, although it could use some updates.
Service
7.0
The staff were accommodating and tried their best to fix issues as they arose, although at times it felt like they were understaffed for repairs.
Location
8.0
The location is pretty good; it's only about 10-15 minutes from attractions like the San Diego Zoo and Seaworld, but traffic can be a hassle sometimes.
Dining
Facilities

The facilities were basic, with a small pool and hot tub. There were laundry services on-site, but the overall amenity offerings were not that extensive.

I had a pleasant stay at this resort with some great aspects, but there were a few drawbacks as well. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, especially with the two bedrooms being perfect for my family. The location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions and there was free parking available. However, the lack of ambiance in the resort itself was a bit disappointing, and the pool area was smaller than I expected. Overall, it was a decent value for the price.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable for four people, with good bedding options that included a king bed and two twin beds in the second bedroom. The two full bathrooms were definitely a plus.
Service
9.0
The service at the resort was great. The staff was helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Location
9.0
The location was ideal for the activities we wanted to do, with various restaurants and shopping options just a short drive away. It was easy to travel around the area from here, which was a huge advantage.
Dining
7.0
I didn't get to try the dining options extensively, but the convenience of nearby restaurants made it easy to find meals without much hassle. A breakfast option in-house would have been nice.
Facilities
7.0
While the pool area was well-kept, it was on the smaller side and often shaded by the surrounding buildings. However, there were amenities like a hot tub that were appreciated.

I had a great stay at this resort, especially because it's so close to all the attractions in San Diego. The room was clean and comfortable, and my kids enjoyed the pool. However, the dining options could improve, and I found the sales pitch from staff a bit overwhelming. Overall, it's a solid choice for family trips with some minor hiccups.

Rooms
9.0
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with amenities for our family. We had plenty of space, and the king-size memory foam bed provided the best sleep I've had in years.
Service
7.0
The staff was welcoming and attentive, but I did feel pressured by a sales rep regarding a meeting, which made my initial experience uncomfortable.
Location
10.0
The hotel is ideally situated near major attractions like SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo, making it super convenient for family outings.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was pleasant, especially enjoying the waffles with fresh fruit for breakfast, although I felt it could use a bit more variety.
Facilities
8.0
The pool was a nice spot for a quick dip, but it is pretty small. There are also laundry facilities in the room which is great for families traveling with kids.

The resort has a lot of potential with its newly remodeled units and a fantastic location that's close to the Mission Valley area. However, the smaller unit sizes and the lack of free Wi-Fi can be frustrating. While the staff was helpful, the noise levels from the common areas were quite disruptive during our stay.

Rooms
6.0
The unit we stayed in was small, which made it a bit cramped, especially with the kitchen area lacking a dining table. However, it was remodeled nicely.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and accommodating, but we had a very unsettling check-in experience with a confusing check-in process that felt overly restrictive.
Location

The location is central with easy access to various restaurants and shopping options, making it convenient for exploring San Diego.

While there were free laundry facilities available on each floor, the overall amenities were limited and the noisy environment detracted from the experience.

My stay at the Oakwood Mission Valley was overall a comfortable experience. The spaciousness of the apartment was impressive, and the amenities were quite functional for long-term stays. However, I found the condition of the furnishings a bit dated and the internet policy frustrating, plus the parking garage was quite tight for larger vehicles.

Rooms
7.0
The apartment was spacious and comfortable, but the decor felt somewhat dated and it carried a noticeable smell of smoke.
Service
6.0
The service was decent, but there were some hiccups with the apartment keys and maintenance requests that made it less smooth than I expected.
Location

The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and the beaches, perfect for those looking to explore San Diego.
Dining
Facilities

The facilities included a nice pool and a fitness center, but the laundry options were a bit pricier than I'm used to.
